Overview

The MDT 10-round AICS-pattern magazine is engineered for .223 Remington/5.56 NATO cartridges. Constructed from high-strength steel, the magazine is nitrided for surface hardness and finished inside and out with Cerakote Elite for corrosion resistance and friction reduction. The magazine features a unique Double Stack to Single Feed (DSSF) transition design, which reduces the overall height by approximately 3/4 inch compared to industry-standard AICS magazines, facilitating easier mag changes when shooting in the prone position. It includes polymer feedlip inserts that extend 0.5 inches past the metal backer to ensure reliable round retention and feeding. The magazine body incorporates two internal ribs to reduce friction and has a maximum cartridge overall length (COAL) of 2.50 inches.
