Overview

The Maxim Defense PDX complete upper kit is designed to convert a Mil-Spec AR-15 lower receiver into a personal defense weapon. Chambered in .300 AAC Blackout, the kit features a 5.5-inch barrel and utilizes a direct impingement operating system. It includes the Maxim SCW (Sub-Compact Weapon) PDW brace system, which collapses to 4 inches, and features an integrated bolt carrier group with interchangeable buffer weights. The kit comes with the HATEBRAKE muzzle booster, which is installed under the handguard to reduce recoil, decrease flash signature, and manage concussion waves. Constructed with military-grade materials, including 7075 and 6061 aluminum, 17-4 stainless steel, and 6Al-4V titanium, the upper assembly is finished in black Type-III hard anodizing. It includes an M-slot compatible handguard and an HK-height rail for increased rigidity.
