Overview

The Maxim Defense QD Hate Brake is a modular muzzle device designed for 1/2"x28 threaded barrels. It combines a quick-detach flash hider with the Hate Shroud in a single system, allowing for rapid transitions between suppressed and unsuppressed configurations. When used alone, the shroud functions as a muzzle brake that channels gas and debris forward in a cone pattern while mitigating felt recoil and containing muzzle flash. It is machined from 17-4 H900 stainless steel for exceptional strength and heat tolerance, finished with a Richter C3B coating to reduce friction and ease carbon removal, and is dimensioned to fit cleanly beneath MDX and SDX handguards.
