Overview

Born from the SOCOM PDW solicitation and built to meet the rigorous demands of the Tier 1 community, the Maxim Defense PDX SCW is designed for close-quarter encounters, home defense, and tactical applications where suppressor-ready capabilities are essential. Chambered in .300 AAC Blackout with a 20-round capacity and a 5.5-inch barrel, this AR-15 platform pistol optimizes the performance of both subsonic and supersonic ammunition. At its core, the PDX features the patent-pending Maxim SCW system, which reduces the stock length to 4 inches and includes an integrated bolt carrier group (BCG) with interchangeable buffer weights for peak performance. The firearm is equipped with Maxim’s HATEBRAKE muzzle booster to significantly reduce recoil, decrease flash signature, and direct gases and concussion waves downrange. Additional features include an HK-height rail, a 2 MOA-accurate barrel, a direct impingement gas system, an ALG combat trigger, a Radian charging handle and safety selector, an ambidextrous magazine release, and a manual safety. Constructed from 6Al-4V titanium, 17-4 stainless steel, and 7075 and 6061 aluminum with a hard-anodized finish, this compact pistol measures 18.75 inches in overall length and is fitted with the Maxim SCW pistol brace.
