Overview

The Magpul MOE AK Hand Guard is a replacement for standard AK-47, AKM, and AK-74 pattern rifles. It is constructed from reinforced, heat-resistant polymer and includes an integral stainless steel heat shield with a black oxide coating. The design features an extended gripping portion, a front lip, and side extensions to shield the user from a hot barrel. The hand guard includes M-LOK mounting slots at the three, six, and nine o'clock positions for the attachment of accessories or Picatinny rail sections, and it comes with a replacement polymer gas tube cover. It is compatible with the UltiMAK Optics Mount top cover and accepts the factory cleaning rod. This unit is designed as a direct replacement for hand guards that do not have a front sling loop on the retainer cap. While it may be used on rifles with a sling loop, the loop must be removed. Due to varying tolerances in AK-pattern firearms, minor fitting may be required. It is not compatible with Yugo pattern rifles. This hand guard is made in the USA and counts as one 922(r) compliance part.
