Overview

The Magpul ACS (Adaptable Carbine/Storage) Mil-Spec buttstock is a drop-in replacement designed for AR-15 and M4 carbines using mil-spec receiver extension tubes. It features dual water-resistant battery storage tubes capable of holding up to three CR123 or two AA batteries each, an integral storage compartment in the tail with a positive latching door, and a sloping cheek weld. For stability and handling, it incorporates a supplemental friction lock to minimize wobble, a shielded anti-snag release latch, a replaceable 0.30-inch rubber butt-pad, and multiple sling mounting options including a reversible Type 3 sling mount kit and a rear sling loop.
