The Magpul Hunter Lite Stock for the Savage Axis Short Action is a purpose-built hunting upgrade designed to reduce overall rifle weight and streamline dimensions without compromising performance. Weighing 20% less with a forend nearly 25% narrower than original Hunter models, this gray synthetic stock features an aluminum V-bedding block with reinforced steel pillars to prevent compression and deformation during firing. Ergonomics are enhanced through interchangeable inlet inserts for right- or left-hand rifles, removable half-inch buttstock spacers for length-of-pull adjustment, and snap-on cheek risers with adjustable comb height. The enlarged trigger guard accommodates gloved hands and provides access to the ambidextrous magazine release, while stamped steel over-insertion tabs in the AICS-compatible magazine well ensure reliable magazine presentation. Additional features include integral sling swivel studs, multiple M-LOK slots on the forend for accessories, compatibility with barrel contours up to Medium Palma, and a rubber butt pad.
