Overview

The Magpul Sling Stud QD Bipod is manufactured from lightweight Mil-Spec hard-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum, steel, and injection-molded polymer with a black finish. Designed to mount directly to standard Uncle Mike's sling swivel studs found on most sporting rifles, it features a stainless-steel mounting system that self-locates and aligns properly, along with an ergonomic thumb wheel and two sizes of non-marring, high-durometer rubber mounting gaskets for narrow or wider forends. The bipod features spring-tensioned legs that stow forward and lock into place, with extensions that slide and lock securely via a push button across seven half-inch spaced locking detents, providing a vertical height adjustment from 6.3 to 10.3 inches. It offers an industry-exclusive 50 degrees of total tilt and 40 degrees of total pan, controlled by a glove-friendly, knurled tool-less locking knob equipped with a soft rubber cap for a non-marring forward rest. The low-profile housing measures under 2.3 inches deep and 3.3 inches wide when folded, and the unit rides on staggered soft rubber feet that hold fast on various surfaces and are removable with a roll pin punch. A rear-mounted low-profile sling stud maintains the ability to attach a sling with standard locking swivels and allows for quick detachment when needed.
