Overview

The LWRC Six8-A5 is a modern sporting rifle developed as part of the Enhanced Rifle Cartridge program, chambered in 6.8x43mm SPC II to provide superior terminal performance and impact energy compared to standard intermediate calibers. Built around a proprietary upper and lower receiver optimized specifically for the 6.8 SPC cartridge, the rifle features an enlarged ejection port, an Advanced Combat bolt, and feeding geometry tailored to 6.8mm dimensions. At the core of the rifle is a 16.1-inch cold hammer forged, spiral-fluted heavy-profile barrel with a black Nitride treatment, a 1:10 twist rate, 5/8x24 muzzle threads, and an A2 birdcage flash hider. Reliability is enhanced by LWRC's patented short-stroke gas piston system and a nickel-boron coated bolt carrier. The rifle includes a low-profile 2-position adjustable gas block for suppressed shooting, an LWRCI Enhanced Fire Control Group with nickel-Teflon coated components, a 12-inch user-configurable M-LOK modular rail system, and Skirmish backup iron sights. Finished in Patriot Brown with a black synthetic adjustable compact stock and a Magpul MOE+ grip, the Six8-A5 offers fully ambidextrous controls, including the safety selector, charging handle, bolt release, and magazine release. It feeds using specialized Magpul polymer 30-round magazines designed exclusively for the Six8 family.
