Overview

LWRC Skirmish Backup Iron Sights are low-profile mechanical sights designed for AR-15 and AR-platform firearms equipped with a standard 1913 Picatinny rail. Crafted from hard-coat anodized 7075 aluminum and NiCorr-treated 4140 steel with hard-chromed bearings and detents, these sights offer exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. All sharp edges are rounded to prevent snagging, and the folded profile measures a minimal half-inch. The sights lock securely into the upright position and fold down via a push-button release on the left side. The rear sight features a dual-aperture rotary post designed to maximize peripheral vision and eliminate blinding during deployment, with 1/2 MOA per click windage adjustments. Both front and rear sights utilize a locking helicoil mounting system that requires no thread locker and stands up to heavy recoil.
