Overview

The Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x40 CDS Riflescope combines simplicity, rugged durability, and precision accuracy into a single user-friendly platform. Designed, machined, and assembled in Oregon, it features a 3-9x magnification range, a 40-millimeter objective lens, and a 1-inch maintube constructed from 6061-T6 aircraft-quality aluminum. It utilizes a second focal plane non-illuminated Duplex reticle along with Leupold's Custom Dial System (CDS), allowing users to send specific ballistics information to obtain a custom elevation dial that eliminates the need for manual holdovers. The optical system incorporates a 3:1 zoom ratio, scratch-resistant lenses, and the Twilight Light Management System to optimize contrast and light transmission in low-light environments. Adjustments are made via 0.25 MOA finger-click turrets for both windage and elevation, offering 60 MOA of total travel for each. Built to withstand harsh field conditions, the scope is 100% waterproof and fogproof utilizing a second-generation argon/krypton gas blend. It measures 12.39 inches in overall length, weighs 12.2 ounces, and is covered by the Leupold Gold Ring Lifetime Guarantee.
