Overview

The Lee Precision 6-Cavity Pistol Mold is designed for high-volume handloaders seeking production-grade casting efficiency and consistent bullet quality. Machined from commercial-quality aluminum blocks, this tool features steel bushing and alignment pins to ensure dimensional consistency across all six cavities, minimizing bullet runout and variance. The aluminum construction allows the blocks to heat up and cool down faster than iron or steel while providing rust resistance and a lighter overall weight to reduce fatigue during extended casting sessions. This mould casts .356-inch diameter bullets weighing 95 grains in a round flat nose (RFN) profile. It includes a cam-operated, hard-anodized sprue plate held tightly by tempered spring washers at each end, allowing for smooth, repeatable ejection without excessive sprue drag. The mold is ideal for reloading ammunition for applications such as competitive shooting and law enforcement training. Mold handles are sold separately, and Lee Precision recommends smoking the mold with a wooden match, beeswax candle, or butane lighter rather than using spray-type mold release products.
