Overview

The Lee 457-405-F is a 2-cavity bullet mold designed for casting .45-70 Government bullets. This aluminum mold produces a 405-grain flat-nose projectile with a .457-inch diameter. Aluminum construction allows the mold to heat up and cool down faster than iron or steel, reducing casting fatigue, while the CNC-machined cavities ensure consistent roundness and size control. The mold features a tangential cut-off design to assist in eliminating the sprue nip. It comes with hardwood handles and is compatible with standard lead casting alloys. As with other Lee aluminum molds, the manufacturer recommends smoking the cavities rather than using spray-on release agents to maintain precision.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
