Overview

The LANTAC AR-15 Rear Takedown Pin Removal Tool (RTT) facilitates the removal of standard takedown pins without requiring the user to un-stake or remove the castle nut and end plate. To use, the rear takedown pin should be fully extended before inserting the tool into the detent channel with the USA symbol facing downwards. Once the pin is slid back into the receiver, the tool allows the detent to slide up a ramp, enabling the pin to be rotated and removed. This process also permits the insertion of a pivot pin from the opposite side to retain the detent during the installation of an upgraded takedown pin.
