The Lancer Systems L5AWM Gen 2 is a 30-round magazine designed for .223 Remington, 5.56x45mm, and .300 AAC Blackout platforms. Featuring a patented steel-polymer hybrid construction in opaque black, it combines a proprietary impact- and chemical-resistant polymer body with precision-engineered, hardened steel feed lips. The upgraded Generation 2 feed lips are designed to resist wearing, bending, cracking, deforming, or splitting under heavy sustained fire, extreme temperature cycling ranging from -40°F to +180°F, or extended storage. Designed for military, law enforcement, and competition applications, the L5AWM Gen 2 offers optimized cartridge stacking, enhanced round presentation, and exceptional round retention. The magazine features an advanced floorplate lock design, an anti-tilt follower with a stainless steel spring, and traditional aggressive surface texturing on the body for improved grip during active engagements or in humid conditions. It provides up to a 22% reduction in insertion force on a closed bolt, weighs 3.8 ounces, and is compatible with modern weapon systems including the M4, M16, AR-15, SCAR 16, and HK416.
