Overview

The KNS AR-15 Buffer Tube to Picatinny Rail Compact Adapter Kit in anodized black offers the modular versatility of standard AR/MCX adapters without the added rail length that locks into the rear receiver stock plate pocket. It is designed specifically for firearms that utilize an AR-15 style attachment point to mount stocks or braces (such as the SIG MPX folding stock or SB Tactical FS1913 brace) but do not mechanically require a buffer tube for an in-line buffer spring. The kit consists of two primary components and an attaching bolt: an externally-threaded adapter plug that fits directly into the threaded buffer socket or ring, and an adapter rail section that fits into the plug's slot. The two parts are secured to each other and the firearm via a hex-socket bolt and lock washer. This product is intended solely for applications where the carrier and buffer tube do not protrude past the receiver ring, and standard configuration AR-15 rifles will not function with this adapter.
