Overview

KG Gun Kote 2400 Series Firearm Finish is a thin, hard protective coating supplied in an 8-ounce flat clear formulation. Originally developed for military use, it withstands temperatures ranging from over 500°F down to -320°F while offering high heat dissipation, chemical resistance, and corrosion protection across ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and magazines. Application requires thorough sandblasting with 120 grit aluminum oxide, degreasing, preheating parts to approximately 120°F, and applying light passes with an airbrush or spray gun. Coated parts are cured by baking at 325°F for one hour.
