Overview

The Kensight 1911 front sight is designed for Novak-cut dovetail slots (0.330" x 65 degree x 0.070"). It features a 0.115-inch wide blade with a white dot inlay to provide a clear focal point for the shooter. The white dot is countersunk into the blade face to ensure it remains durable over time. Machined from 4140 chrome moly steel using Wire-EDM processes, the sight is heat-treated to a hardness of RC 38-40. The blade is slanted forward to reduce glare, and the base is contoured to blend seamlessly with most round-top or carry-melt slide profiles, often requiring little to no filing for installation.
