Overview

Hornady Sub-X (Subsonic eXpanding) .338 caliber bullets feature a 307-grain weight with a lead core and a gilding metal jacket equipped with long grooves. Designed specifically to fit, feed, and function in a variety of firearms including gas-operated semi-automatics, these bullets incorporate a patented Flex Tip insert within their hollow-point cavity and a cannelured jacket for a positive case crimp. They are engineered to expand reliably at velocities down to 900 fps, meeting or exceeding FBI terminal ballistic protocol requirements for medium game.
