Overview

The Hornady RAPiD Safe 2700KP XL is a heavy-duty portable safe designed to secure full-size handguns and valuables with rapid-access technology. Built from thick 14-gauge steel with hardened interior locking lugs, the safe features a spring-assist lid that opens instantly via programmed RFID tags (including a watchband tag, key fobs, and decals) or through a programmable 4 to 6-digit security code on the digital keypad. It can also be accessed via conventional mechanical barrel keys. Powered by AC current with a battery backup for 24/7 reliability, the interior utilizes egg-crate foam and a removable sleeve to protect and position handguns. The unit meets ASTM International child and pry resistance standards, is approved by the California Department of Justice, and includes a heavy-duty steel security cable for anchoring.
