Overview

The Hornady Lock-N-Load Modified Case in 45-70 Government is designed for use with the Hornady Lock-N-Load Overall Length Gauge (sold separately). Each case is manufactured to SAAMI specifications and features a flash hole that has been replaced with fine threads to allow the case to be screwed directly into the gauge for precise measurements. The neck of the case is specially modified to be perfectly round and slightly opened, ensuring that a standard diameter bullet can be inserted concentrically for accurate alignment with the lands of the barrel.
