The Hornady Lock-N-Load Overall Length Gauge Modified Case for the .300 Remington Short Action Ultra Magnum (RSAUM) is a specialized reloading tool designed to measure the relationship between a bullet and the barrel lands. These modified cases are threaded at the case head to securely attach to the Hornady Lock-N-Load Overall Length Gauge, ensuring precise alignment within the chamber. Each case is manufactured to SAAMI specifications and features a flash hole replaced by threads. The neck of the case is opened slightly to a .002-inch oversized diameter, allowing a standard bullet to slip into the case mouth concentrically for accurate, repeatable measurements.
