The design utilizes a secant ogive profile, a boat-tail base, and a tapered jacket to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and stability. Upon impact, the hard polymer tip initiates controlled expansion, while Hornady’s exclusive InterLock ring mechanically locks the core and jacket together. This combination provides deep penetration, consistent weight retention, and a devastatingly large wound channel. A mid-body cannelure is included to assist in consistent, accurate crimping during the loading process.
