Overview

Hornady FTX .44 caliber (.430-inch) 225-grain bullets bring lever-action ballistics and tipped-bullet performance to handgun and lever-gun cartridges. Utilizing a patented polymer Flex Tip and a secant ogive design, these bullets provide an aerodynamic profile, high ballistic coefficients, and flat trajectories. Upon impact, the soft tip compresses to initiate controlled expansion across a wide velocity range, and the bullets are safe to load in tubular magazines. An InterLock ring mechanically locks the high-antimony lead core to the heavy jacket for reliable weight retention and deep penetration on large game.
