Overview

Hornady Frontier 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition is designed for high-performance applications, including target shooting, law enforcement training, and self-defense. This load features a 68-grain Boat Tail Hollow Point Match (BTHP-MATCH) bullet with a swaged lead core and Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket for superior gyroscopic stability and wind deflection resistance. Fired from a 20-inch barrel, it achieves a muzzle velocity of 2,960 fps and 1,323 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. Manufactured at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, these rounds utilize military-grade brass cases, propellant, and Boxer primers. The non-corrosive cases are reloadable and may exhibit cosmetic discoloration at the neck due to the heat-treatment process. This 500-round case is optimized for long-range accuracy and consistency.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
