Hornady Dangerous Game 470 Nitro Express Ammo 500 Grain Hornady DGX (Dangerous Game eXpanding) Bonded Flat Nose Box of 20

Overview

Hornady Dangerous Game Bonded series ammunition is engineered to deliver hard-hitting accuracy, energy transfer, and knockdown power for safari hunting targeting Africa's Big Five and the world's largest, toughest game. This 470 Nitro Express cartridge features a 500-grain Hornady DGX (Dangerous Game eXpanding) Bonded flat nose projectile housed in a boxer-primed, reloadable brass case. The DGX Bonded bullet utilizes a copper-clad steel jacket bonded to a high-antimony lead core, preventing separation upon high-energy impact with tough material like bone while ensuring deep penetration, high weight retention, and controlled expansion to 1.5 to 2 times its original diameter. Mated with carefully selected powders and primers for consistent shot-to-shot velocity and pressure, this round achieves a muzzle velocity of 2,150 fps and generates 5,132 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. Each box contains 20 rounds.
