Hornady Dangerous Game Series 404 Jeffery ammunition is built for hunting Africa's Big Five and other heavy game. It features a 400 grain DGX (Dangerous Game eXpanding) bonded flat-nose bullet with a copper-clad steel jacket bonded to a lead core. This construction provides deep penetration and controlled expansion up to one and a half to two times the original bullet diameter while maintaining high weight retention upon high-energy impact with tough bone. Packaged in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases, this ammunition delivers a muzzle velocity of 2,300 fps and 4,698 ft-lbs of muzzle energy.
