Overview

The Hornady ELD-X .338 230-grain rifle bullet is an advanced, match-accurate hunting projectile engineered with high-in-class ballistic coefficients and consistent expansion across all practical distances. It features a patent-pending Heat Shield polymer tip that resists aerodynamic heating and prevents tip deformation, ensuring consistent meplat geometry and trajectory performance. Utilizing a streamlined secant ogive, optimum boattail design, and concentric AMP bullet jackets, the ELD-X delivers dependable terminal performance. At high-velocity impacts between 0 and 400 yards, the thick jacket shank and high Interlock ring retain 50 to 60 percent of the bullet's weight while it continually expands along the penetration path. At lower velocities beyond 400 yards, the Heat Shield tip drives backward into the core to initiate conventional expansion, producing a large mushroom with 85 to 90 percent retained weight for deep penetration and large wound cavities. Each box contains 100 bullets requiring a 1:12-inch twist rate.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
