Overview

The Hornady ELD-X bullet in .270 caliber (.277 diameter, 145 grain) is engineered for hunters and precision shooters requiring terminal performance at extended ranges. It features Hornady's patent-pending Heat Shield tip, which is designed to withstand aerodynamic heating and maintain its shape for a consistent ballistic coefficient across its entire trajectory. The bullet utilizes a streamlined secant ogive, an optimum boattail design, and highly concentric AMP bullet jackets. The thick jacket shank and InterLock ring ensure core-to-jacket integrity, providing 50-60% weight retention at high velocities (0-400 yards). At lower velocities (400+ yards), the Heat Shield tip drives backward into the bullet to initiate controlled expansion, resulting in a large mushroom and 85-90% weight retention for deep penetration and large wound cavities. Each box contains 100 bullets.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
