Hornady 22271 V-Max 22 Cal .224 55 gr V Max 100 Per Box/ 40 Case, Reloating Bullets

Overview

Hornady V-Max 55-grain .22 caliber (.224) bullets feature a sharp polymer tip combined with an aerodynamic profile for a high ballistic coefficient, increased in-flight stability, and flat trajectories. The polymer tip initiates dramatic expansion upon impact, even at velocities as low as 1,600 fps, while acting as a wedge that builds up energy before smashing into the swaged lead core. Supported by a precise boat-tail base design and a copper jacket that provides a maximum bearing surface for fast-twist varmint rifle barrels, these components deliver exceptional long-range accuracy and target fragmentation.
