Overview

The Hogue AK-47/AK-74 Standard Chinese and Russian Kit features an OverMolded pistol grip and 2-piece handguard designed for stamped AK variants. Hogue’s Overmold process uses a rigid fiberglass-reinforced synthetic insert chemically bonded with a soft, durable rubber compound for a secure, permanent fit. The pistol grip incorporates ergonomic finger grooves for improved comfort and control, while both components utilize a non-slip Cobblestone texture that ensures a reliable grip in all conditions. The modular forend includes a railed top cover, a non-railed top cover, and three short rail sections that attach flexibly to the sides or bottom of the lower handguard. This elastomer material is resistant to common firearm oils and solvents and maintains its properties over time without hardening.
