The Griffin Armament TMMFH1228 Minimalist Taper Mount Flash Suppressor is constructed from 17-4 PH stainless steel with a black nitride finish, engineered specifically for 5.56x45mm NATO platforms. Featuring a 1/2 in-28 tpi thread pattern, an overall length of 1.80 inches, and a diameter of 1.07 inches, this compact muzzle device weighs 2.9 ounces—approximately 40% lighter than most competing suppressor mounts. The unit incorporates three flash-suppressing tines with integrated anti-resonance flutes to prevent pinging under fire. Its design does not require timing and utilizes a taper interface to ensure a solid lockup and minimal, repeatable point-of-impact shift. It is compatible with a Taper Mount Thread Protector and interfaces with Griffin RECCE, PALADIN, Sportsman, and Optimus series silencers, as well as the Optimus 9 Mid-Size configuration and Optimus micro with a taper extension.
