Overview

The Griffin Armament Taper Mount Linear Compensator is a 5.56mm muzzle device featuring 1/2"-28 threads and a durable black nitride finish. Billet-machined from two pieces of 17-4 PH stainless steel, the assembly is precision TIG-welded to create a large internal expansion chamber designed to reduce concussion and maximize performance. The welded front cap includes gas jet nozzles protected by a wire cutter shroud to project blast energy forward and away from the shooter and bystanders, while serving as a sacrificial baffle to help extend suppressor life. Designed to function either as a standalone muzzle device or as a rock-solid suppressor mount, it is compatible with Griffin RECCE, Paladin, EXPLORR, Sportsman, and taper-mount pistol silencers. The unit includes a shim set and features a pre-drilled 3mm hole for pinning and welding.
