The Griffin Armament Taper Mount EZ Brake is a high-performance muzzle device constructed from 17-4 PH stainless steel with a durable black nitride finish. Designed for use with Griffin Taper Mount silencers—including the RECCE, PALADIN, Sportsman, Optimus, and Bushwhacker series—this mount features 6 radial slots that provide effective recoil mitigation. Its design requires no timing and allows for straightforward installation using a standard 13/16" socket wrench. The EZ Brake features a 1.4-inch overall length and a unit diameter of 0.93 inches (1.075 inches at the taper). Weighing 2.0 ounces, it is among the lightest mounting solutions available for the Taper Mount interface, helping to reduce the overall weight of the suppressor system while keeping the host firearm barrel responsive. The taper ensures a solid lock-up and minimal, repeatable point-of-impact shift. For added protection of the threads when a suppressor is not attached, the device is compatible with the Taper Mount Thread Protector.
