Overview

The Great Lakes GL15223BPPK is a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle chambered in .223 Wylde, which safely accommodates both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. It features a 16-inch heavy barrel (HBAR) with a 1:8 twist, 1/2x28 threads, and a choice of 416R stainless steel or 4150 CRMOV Nitride construction. The build incorporates a 7075 aluminum frame and upper, M4 feed ramps, a 0.750 black oxide gas block with a carbine gas tube, and a forward-directed muzzle brake designed to be wrench-tightened without Loctite. Finished in a Battleworn Pink Cerakote, the rifle includes a 15.25-inch 6061 aluminum handguard with a full Picatinny rail, a mil-spec polymer grip, and a milspec trigger with a 5.5 to 6-pound pull.
