Overview

The Geissele Super Duty MOD1-A is a semi-automatic 5.56 NATO rifle featuring a 16-inch cold hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel with a 1:7 twist and Geissele tapered profile, paired with a Geissele Length gas system and Super Compact Gas Block. Built on a Super Duty ambidextrous billet lower receiver and Super Duty M4 upper receiver in Desert Defense Color (DDC), the rifle integrates factory-installed fully ambidextrous controls, including a left-side magazine release and right-side bolt catch and release buttons. Internal components include the Geissele Forged Stressproof Bolt made from Carpenter 158+ steel—HPT and MPI certified—paired with a Reliability Enhanced BCG and a Super 42 braided buffer spring with an H2 buffer to reduce felt recoil and ensure reliable cycling. The two-stage SSA-E X trigger features a Lightning Bow and Nanoweapon-coated internals for a crisp, predictable break. Up top, a 15-inch MK16 modular rail with a center tab houses the system, while the muzzle is fitted with a HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD in 1/2x28 thread pitch for direct compatibility with HUXWRX FLOW suppressors. Ergonomic features include a B5 Systems Enhanced SOPMOD stock, a Geissele A17 grip, and integrated stainless steel QD inserts. The rifle has an overall length of 33 3/4 inches collapsed and 36 7/8 inches extended, weighing approximately 7.0 lbs.
