Overview

The Fortis Switch MOD 2 is an extremely lightweight yet robust free-float rail system designed specifically for DPMS high-profile .308 AR platforms. Machined from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum with a 7075-T6 aluminum locking handle and a hard-coat anodized black finish, it features a 15.75-inch length and an internal diameter of 1.51 inches. The handguard incorporates a patent-pending tool-less locking mechanism for rapid removal and installation. The MOD 2 design replaces the traditional 12 o'clock Picatinny rail section with open venting to improve barrel airflow, reduce heat buildup, and allow for a streamlined grip, while retaining a short rail section at the front for back-up iron sights. M-LOK mounting slots are integrated at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions as well as offset locations, eliminating the need for separate offset light mounts. The assembly includes a 4140 heat-treated barrel nut (1-7/16" x 16 T.P.I.).

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
