Overview

The FN 509 LS Edge is an advanced striker-fired tactical pistol chambered in 9mm Luger. It features a 5-inch target-crowned hammer-forged barrel with a polished chamber and ramp, housed within a lightening-cut Long Slide finished in long-wearing graphite PVD. The slide incorporates the patented low-profile optics mounting system, complemented by a precision fiber optic front sight and a blackout rear notch. Designed for optimum control and faster follow-up shots, the pistol includes a crisp, flat-faced facet-edge trigger that breaks cleanly at 90 degrees with a short take-up and positive reset, aided by a conical striker that reduces pull weight. The matte black polymer frame features an enhanced perimeter texture, a Mil-Std 1913 Picatinny rail for weapon lights, an oversized ambidextrous slide stop, an oversized knurled magazine release, a flared graphite-anodized aluminum magazine well, and interchangeable backstraps to fit all hand sizes. It ships in a ballistic case with four MRD mounting plates, two backstraps, a locking device, an owner's manual, and three 17-round magazines equipped with graphite-anodized aluminum floor plates.
