Overview

The FN 509 Midsize Tactical is a multi-role, striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, well-suited for concealed carry, home defense, and duty use. It features a 4.50-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel threaded barrel with a 1/2"x28 thread pattern, recessed target crown, polished chamber and feed ramp, and an O-ring retention thread cap. The matte black polymer frame includes a MIL-STD-1913 accessory mounting rail, interchangeable backstraps, and enhanced grip texture. The matte black steel slide is optic-ready with the FN Low-Profile Optics-Mounting System, complemented by improved front and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, and a loaded chamber indicator. Sighting is handled by suppressor-height 3-dot night sights. Fully ambidextrous controls include the slide stop lever and magazine release. This model has a 24+1 maximum capacity and ships with a soft pistol case, locking device, and magazines.
