Overview

The FN 509M MRD is a mid-size 9mm semi-automatic handgun designed for reliable concealed carry performance. It features a 4-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with a recessed target crown, housed within an optic-ready steel slide with improved front and rear cocking serrations. The FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System allows for the direct mounting of over 10 different miniature red dot sights. The pistol includes a flat-faced trigger for a cleaner break, a polymer frame with a MIL-STD-1913 accessory mounting rail, and fully ambidextrous controls. The 509M MRD is finished in Flat Dark Earth PVD on the slide and a matching FDE polymer frame. Enhanced texturing on the two included interchangeable backstraps provides improved recoil management and ergonomics. The firearm ships with a 15-round magazine capacity and includes two magazines, a locking device, an owner's manual, and a carrying case.
