Overview

The FN 509 Tactical is a full-size, semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm Luger, featuring a 10+1 capacity and a double-action-only action. It is built around a matte black polymer frame equipped with a MIL-STD-1913 accessory mounting rail and textured black interchangeable backstraps for a secure grip. The 4.50-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel has a black finish, a recessed target crown, and a 1/2"x28 threaded pattern with an O-ring retention thread cap. The matte black serrated stainless steel slide features the FN Low-Profile Optics Mounting System, allowing the direct mounting of miniature red dot optics that co-witness with the suppressor-height 3-dot night sights. The optic-mounting slide cap incorporates raised sight wings to protect iron sight alignment and a textured ramp for one-handed slide manipulation. With an overall length of 7.90 inches and a weight of 27.90 oz, the pistol ships with two 10-round magazines, interchangeable backstraps, and an FN logo soft pistol case.
