Overview

The FN 509 Tactical is a 9mm pistol featuring a 4.5-inch cold hammer-forged stainless-steel barrel with a target crown and 1/2"x28 threaded muzzle. The barrel includes an O-ring retention thread cap to prevent loosening during operation. The slide features the FN Low-Profile Optics Mounting System, allowing for the direct mounting of various miniature red dot optics, and includes a slide cap with wings to protect iron sights and provide a textured racking surface. Additional features include suppressor-height night sights, a polished chamber and feed ramp, an external extractor, and a loaded chamber indicator. The polymer frame includes a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail, enhanced grip texture, and two interchangeable backstraps. The pistol is equipped with an ambidextrous slide stop lever and magazine release, and includes two 10-round magazines and a soft pistol case.
