Overview

The FN 509 Tactical is a 9mm semi-automatic pistol based on FN's modular handgun trial submission, featuring a 4.5-inch cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with a target crown and 1/2"x28 threads for suppressor use. It utilizes a striker-fired action and includes the FN Low-Profile Optics Mounting System, which supports over ten types of miniature red dot optics. The slide cap features raised wings to protect the iron sights and provides a textured ramp for one-handed racking. Finished in Flat Dark Earth, the polymer frame includes enhanced grip texturing and interchangeable backstraps. The pistol is equipped with suppressor-height Trijicon 3-dot green tritium night sights and a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail. Controls, including the slide stop lever and magazine release, are fully ambidextrous. The firearm ships with one 17-round magazine and one 24-round magazine.
