Overview

This FN 16-inch AR-15 barrel is cold hammer-forged from proprietary chrome moly vanadium steel, the same material used in FN's machine gun barrels to withstand sustained fire. The barrel features an M4 profile and a carbine-length gas system with a .750-inch diameter gas seat. The bore and chamber are chrome-lined for increased barrel life, reliable chambering, and extraction. The exterior is finished in matte black manganese phosphate for corrosion resistance. Each barrel includes M4 feed ramps, a 1/2x28 threaded muzzle, and has undergone high-pressure testing (HPT) and magnetic particle inspection (MPI) to ensure structural integrity and quality.
