Overview

The FN AR-15 barrel is manufactured using U.S.-sourced Chrome Moly Vanadium material per Mil-B-11595E. Each 14.7-inch barrel undergoes High Pressure Testing (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to ensure freedom from microstresses and flaws. The bore and chamber are chrome-lined to resist corrosion and heat erosion, enhancing barrel life and ensuring reliable chambering and extraction. Designed with an M4 profile and a carbine-length gas system, it features M4-style feed ramps and a barrel extension for consistent feeding. The exterior is finished with a matte black manganese phosphate coating to protect against external corrosion and oxidation.
