Overview

The FN AR-15 barrel is a 16-inch button-rifled barrel chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO. Manufactured from U.S.-sourced Chrome Moly Vanadium steel (Mil-B-11595E), the barrel is high-pressure tested (HPT) and magnetic particle inspected (MPI) to ensure consistency. The bore and chamber are chrome-lined to resist heat erosion and corrosion. This government-profile barrel features a carbine-length gas system, M4-style feed ramps, and a barrel extension. The exterior is finished with a matte black Manganese Phosphate coating for oxidation resistance.
