The Faxon Firearms Superfinished 5.56 NATO M16 Bolt Carrier Group is built for high-round-count reliability and smooth operation in AR-15 platforms. Featuring a full-auto rated M16-style carrier body, this assembly undergoes a "superfinishing" process alongside a hard chrome coating to minimize friction, reduce carbon buildup, and simplify cleaning. The bolt is machined from strong 9310 tool steel, fully heat-treated, shot-peened to military specifications, and subjected to magnetic particle inspection (MPI) to ensure structural integrity without defects. It features chamfered back lugs for reliable feeding of high-pressure loads and fast actions. The assembly includes a staked gas key with grade 8 fasteners, a 4140 pre-hardened steel cam pin, an S7 tool steel extractor equipped with a spring, insert, and Crane O-ring, and is marked with the laser-engraved Faxon Shield.
