Overview

The Faxon Firearms Type 2 6.5 Grendel/ARC bolt is a precision-engineered replacement component for AR-15 platforms. Constructed from 9310 tool steel, the bolt is fully heat-treated and shot-peened to military specifications before undergoing Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to ensure material integrity. It features a salt bath nitride finish, which increases surface hardness, reduces friction, and provides superior corrosion resistance. Designed with a .136-inch Type 2 bolt face, this bolt is compatible with SAAMI-spec 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, 22 ARC, and 338 ARC barrels. The bolt lugs are chamfered 45 degrees to facilitate reliable cycling under high-pressure loads and in fast-cycling actions. The assembly includes an S7 tool steel extractor, complete with a spring, silicone insert, and Crane O-ring for consistent, positive extraction. Note that this bolt is not compatible with Type 1 (.125) 7.62x39 barrels.

About DealsGunsAmmo (DGA)

A price and stock aggregator built for a market the incumbents stopped improving.

We compare listings across dozens of retailers and normalize everything to true cost-per-round — not sticker price, not case-size guesswork.

Who we are

DealsGunsAmmo (DGA) is an independent data provider tracking price and stock across the ammo, firearm, and parts market — giving buyers and the industry an outside, macro-level view of where the market actually stands.

What we’re building

A data-driven platform meant to be the go-to spot for purchasing decisions — comparing offers across vendors and tracking price history, so you can read the market as a whole, not just one listing at a time.

Who we serveNOW

Today, we help buyers on their purchasing journey with price alerts and a real look at where prices have actually been.

LaterNEXT

Down the road, we plan to sell that same market data back to vendors — inventory demand, customer interest and sentiment, and competitive pricing.
