The Faxon Firearms Match Series Gunner barrel is a 16-inch, 5.56x45mm NATO barrel designed for the AR-15 platform. The Gunner profile blends the durability of a government profile with the weight savings and maneuverability of a pencil profile, shifting the rifle's balance toward the shooter to reduce fatigue. Constructed from 4150 steel with a QPQ Black Nitride finish, this barrel offers superior corrosion resistance and longevity. Each barrel features button rifling, an 11-degree target crown for enhanced accuracy, and a 1:8 twist rate optimized for stabilizing a wide range of bullet weights. The barrel is mid-length gas system compatible and features a .625-inch gas block journal. To ensure precise performance, every barrel is individually stress-relieved, air-gauge tested, and headspace-checked with PTG gauges.
