Overview

The Faxon Firearms Match Series AR-10 barrel is machined 100% in-house from gun-barrel-quality 416-R stainless steel and features a 20-inch heavy fluted profile. It utilizes 5R hybrid button rifling with opposite groove lands and reduced sharp angles to decrease bullet jacket deformation, increase velocity, ease cleaning, and minimize throat erosion. The barrel is treated inside and out with a durable salt bath QPQ black nitride finish and includes an 11-degree recessed target crown, a rifle-length gas system with a 0.750-inch gas block journal, and a 5/8"-24 threaded muzzle. Designed to be DPMS LR-308 compatible, the barrel extension is coated in Nickel Teflon to provide exceptional dry lubricity, enhance corrosion resistance, and tighten the fit between the extension and receiver for improved accuracy. Weighing 2.40 lbs with a 1:10 twist rate, this match-grade barrel is fully MPI inspected and ready for precision rifle builds.
